Who we are
Scouting America Troop 916 is located in Evanston, IL and serves youth in the surrounding area. First chartered in 1922 by the Kiwanis Club of Evanston, Troop 916 has met continuously at Oakton School for over 95 years, since 1931. School District 65, the Ridgeville Park District and St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church support the troop by providing space for Scout activities, and for storing equipment.
Our purpose remains the same today as it was generations ago - bringing together Scouts and families from different backgrounds to build skills that last a lifetime.
We draw our membership from Evanston, Skokie and the northern part of Chicago. We are proud to provide access to quality events for scouts of all backgrounds and abilities. ALL are welcome and invited to participate!

Citizens of Evanston for Scouting (CES) is a community organization dedicated to the direct support of scouting in Evanston. CES was formed by volunteers with decades of scouting experience believe in promoting the values of scouting and outdoor experiences among our community's children and teenagers. The organization provides administrative and financial assistance to Troops and Packs in the greater Evanston, IL area.
CES is an Illinois Incorporated, 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization located in Evanston, IL.
